Tomorrow is Birthday Thursday. I decided to try making cake pops. It was a lot of fun. I will try to make them again because they were pretty easy. I ran out of sticks for the pops so only made like half the batch. Hope everyone likes it.
Jenn's Designs
My friend Shasta said that I should start blogging about my cupcakes, so here it is. I will be talking about all the things that are important to me, not just cupcakes. I'm so excited about doing this. Thanks Shasta for this great idea!

Sprinkles Cupcakes
Went to Williams and Sonoma yesterday and bought the Sprinkles Cupcakes mix. Made the double chocolate mix today with the frosting. The cupcake itself didn't taste too great. May have to stick to Duncan Hines. The chocolate buttercream (with real butter) tasted so yummy. Maybe tomorrow I'll try the Red Velvet with the cream cheese frosting. It is good to try new things to change it up a bit.

Andie's Dance Rehearsal
Andie took dance this year and did such a great job at her recital. I made her a chocolate & strawberry cake for her dance recital this year but we served it after the rehearsal because I had 2 cakes to do the weekend of the recital. Andie did 3 dances, plus the tumbling dance, and the finale'. At the recital, Andie was so awesome on the tumbling dance. You should have heard the response from the crowd when she did her four flip flops. Angie and I made Andie's tumbling clown outfit. I'm so proud of you Andie!!!
My sister told me this was one of the best tasting cakes I've made. It is chocolate with strawberry filling. Chocolate frosting, chocolate ganache, and chocolate covered strawberries.

Cameron Bertrand's Birthday
On April 16, I went to my friend Shasta's house to make cupcakes for her little boys birthday party. The theme was Dr. Seuss. We make Thing 1 & Thing 2 cupcakes and Green Eggs & Ham cupcakes. Our other friend Amanda made a Dr. Seuss cake for the party. Shasta and I had a great time making the cupcakes. The exciting part was making the cotton candy. We used a small machine that my sister loaned me. I think we put too much food coloring in the machine because the sugar crystalized and it wouldn't make anymore cotton candy. Shasta rented a large machine to make cotton candy for the party. We tried making some with this big machine as well and cotton candy went all over the yard. Shasta ended up cutting her fingers on the leather straps inside the cotton candy machine. The cotton candy making was pretty interesting. The decorations that Shasta put up for the party were awesome! I wish I would have taken pictures of some of them.
I also made this cupcake tower. It was my first one. Hope to get better with the next one.
